ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY

If you want the independence of apartment living but need a little extra assistance with meals, medications and daily activities, the assisted living program in the Assisted Living Facility may be just right for you.

The Assisted Living Facility features large rooms with private bathrooms and attractive bay windows.

Your own furniture and decorating touches will make your room homey and comfortable.

Rooms include a sit-down shower unit; a vanity area with sink, mirror, cabinet space and wardrobe; wall-to-wall carpeting; a locked drawer for valuables; emergency pull cord; and individual thermostats.

The corridors of the Assisted Living Facility converge in the spacious and inviting Melcher Lounge, where you can visit with friends, read, watch television, play cards or attend the many activities held each week.

Residents of the Assisted Living Facility enjoy the following services (all included in one monthly billing):

  • Three meals served daily in the dining room (special diet accommodated at no extra charge)

  • Distribution of all medications

  • Medical staff on duty 24-hours a day, seven days a week

  • Daily housekeeping

  • Linen service weekly

  • Personal laundry service weekly

  • Whirlpool available weekly

  • Social services

  • Diversified activity therapy program, including intergenerational activities

  • Access to many programs and services available at Foxwood Springs.

  • Cable television

  • Private rooms for family visits and special events

ACTIVITY THERAPY DEPARTMENT

This department provides a wide spectrum of activities to meet the social, physical and spiritual needs of residents in the licensed care areas at Foxwood Springs. This is accomplished in both group settings and on an individual basis. We want everyone to continue to enjoy life in the friendly, home-like atmosphere that is found here at Foxwood Springs.

For those in our Health Care Center, Assisted Living Facility and Alzheimer’s Unit, these are some of the activities we provide:

  • Baking Class

  • Bible Study

  • Bingo

  • Bowling

  • Crafts/ Hobbies

  • Current Events Programs

  • Discussion Groups

  • Evening Activities

  • Exercise Groups (Chair)

  • Volleyball (Chair)
