Here, all residents can play cards, work puzzles, visit with their
friends and families and participate in socials, sing-a-longs, vespers
and reminiscing. The Health Care Center design and its programs
support residents in every
way possible. Residents are encouraged to socialize, to eat meals in the
dining room and to participate in activities outside their rooms.
Intergenerational activities with children from Landis Child Development Center
at Foxwood Springs are very popular with
residents and are effective in encouraging resident involvement in
crafts, music, painting and other therapeutic activities.
When
a resident is confined to bed, the activity therapist conducts bedside
leisure activities to maintain alertness and participation in life.
