HEALTH CARE CENTER

For residents who need long-term and skilled nursing care, the Health Care Center at Foxwood Springs offers superior care in a loving atmosphere.

Health Care Center residents enjoy spending time in the large, light-filled lounge with a captivating view of the beautiful Intergenerational Courtyard.

Here, all residents can play cards, work puzzles, visit with their friends and families and participate in socials, sing-a-longs, vespers and reminiscing.  The Health Care Center design and its programs support residents in every way possible.  Residents are encouraged to socialize, to eat meals in the dining room and to participate in activities outside their rooms.

Intergenerational activities with children from Landis Child Development Center at Foxwood Springs are very popular with residents and are effective in encouraging resident involvement in crafts, music, painting and other therapeutic activities.

When a resident is confined to bed, the activity therapist conducts bedside leisure activities to maintain alertness and participation in life.

Residents of the Health Care Center enjoy the following services:

  • Three meals daily (special diets accommodated at no extra charge)

  • Distribution of all medications

  • RN/LPN supervisor on duty 24 hours daily, seven days a week

  • IV Therapy available

  • Medicaid beds available

  • Diversified activity therapy programs

  • Intergenerational activities

  • Routine skilled care procedures

  • Access to many programs and services available at Foxwood Springs

  • Daily housekeeping

  • Personal laundry service weekly

  • Linen service weekly

  • Social services

  • Cable television

  • Private rooms for family visits and special events

The Health Care Center also offers an upscale skilled nursing unit containing eight private rooms, along with a separate dining and recreational area specifically for residents who choose this living arrangement.
 

ACTIVITY THERAPY DEPARTMENT

This department provides a wide spectrum of activities to meet the social, physical and spiritual needs of residents in the licensed care areas at Foxwood Springs. This is accomplished in both group settings and on an individual basis. We want everyone to continue to enjoy life in the friendly, home-like atmosphere that is found here at Foxwood Springs.

For those in our Health Care Center, Assisted Living Facility and Alzheimer’s Unit, these are some of the activities we provide:
