SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

The Social Committee of Foxwood Springs is made up of resident volunteers.

Our Social Committee plans:

  • Entertainment programs, including our own musical groups

  • Potluck dinners

  • July 4th Fireworks Display

  • A variety of other special events

There are many opportunities to enjoy cultural activities with friends from Foxwood Springs.  Usually transportation is provided at a nominal cost and often is included in the cost of the tickets. Among the activities offered are:

  • Lyric Opera

  • Kansas City Symphony

  • Travelogues

  • Starlight Theater

  • New Theater

  • Lee’s Summit Community Concert Series

  • American Heartland Theater

  • Quality Playhouse

  • Special events

Travel opportunities are also available. They include one-day trips in the Kansas City area, trips of longer duration in Missouri and across the nation, tours to foreign countries and cruises. A wonderful opportunity to travel with friends.

TRANSPORTATION

Foxwood Springs provides transportation to residents at a reasonable cost.  Transportation can be arranged for medical appointments, to the airport or train station, and for various cultural events.  Free transportation to area medical facilities is provided on specific days.  Shuttle service is provided free to area businesses within a three mile radius, and Foxwood Springs, in cooperation with local churches, will arrange transportation to Sunday services.
